Heart Health Checks
Do you know what your risk of having a heart attack or stroke is? A Heart Health Check is a 20-minute check-up with your GP to assess your risk of having a heart attack or stroke in the next five years.
As part of the check, your doctor will ask you about your lifestyle, medical and family health history. They will also check your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels. We will use this information to estimate your risk of a heart attack or stroke. More importantly, we can then discuss the steps you can take to lower your risk.
Who should get a heart health check?
Respectful Behaviour & Workplace Safety
Our team is dedicated to providing you with high-quality care in a safe and respectful environment. We, in turn, expect all patients and visitors to treat our staff and other patients with courtesy and respect. Abusive, aggressive, or discriminatory language or behaviour will not be tolerated.
Patients who engage in such conduct may be asked to leave immediately. In serious cases, we may formally discharge the patient from our practice and report the incident to the appropriate authorities.
